This Privacy Policy describes how BYKKO Pty Ltd ("BYKKO", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the BYKKO Serv mobile application ("the App"). BYKKO Serv is a service technician tool used to configure and manage BYKKO smart lock devices via Bluetooth. It is intended for authorised service staff only and is not a consumer-facing application.

The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) exclusively to communicate with BYKKO smart lock devices for configuration and diagnostics. Bluetooth is not used to determine your location. The App requests the BLUETOOTH_SCAN and BLUETOOTH_CONNECT permissions on Android 12 and above with the neverForLocation flag set, meaning Bluetooth access does not trigger a location permission prompt.

The App uses the device camera solely to scan QR codes on BYKKO lock devices for identification purposes. No images or video are stored or transmitted.

Service operation logs are retained for as long as necessary to fulfil audit and support requirements, or as required by applicable law. Account credentials are retained for the duration of the service agreement between BYKKO and the organisation the account belongs to.

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the information collected through the App. All communication between the App and the BYKKO server is conducted over encrypted HTTPS connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
